As the Northern Region Data
Manager you will look after the Auckland and Northlands regional division of
the Breast Cancer Foundation National Register. This is a Ministry of Health secured
web-based database which collects information on breast cancer patients in New
Zealand. The information collected is a vital resource to help doctors and
researchers improve diagnosis, treatment and patient outcomes.
You will lead a small
dedicated team that researches and records breast cancer information in a MS
Access database. The role is predominantly data research and entry of data,
ensuring data integrity and accuracy is maintained.
To be effective in this role you will need Intermediate to Advanced MS Access
skills as well as exceptional self-management, attention to detail, and
communication skills. As you will be leading a small team, previous experience in
people management is essential. A relevant tertiary education, work experience
in the health sector, and knowledge of medical terminology will be an
