Manager - Labs Harmonisation Project
Northern Regional Alliance
Manager Labs Harmonisation Project
The Northern Region is home to almost 4 in 10 New Zealanders. Its DHB healthcare leaders have a good track record of working together to deliver innovation and change through the Northern Regional Alliance. Following government backing of our long term vision for healthcare transformation for the next 20 years, we are progressing work to scale up our collaboration and to further develop and deliver changes in clinical services for patients.
We have a fantastic new (full time) opportunity for an experienced Manager used to working on complex change projects within large organisations. This is a senior role suited to someone with excellent stakeholder management experience and who has specialised in programme of work management to achieve change across organisation boundaries for a number of years.
Working on a large transformation project related to Laboratory Services, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering improvement activities across a range of lab processes and service areas. This is a ‘hands on’ role. We need a manager who has strengths both in: galvanising strategy; and rigorous follow through on delivery of change and operational detail.
You will build on work already undertaken to identify priority work areas to deliver effective, efficient and consistent services across multiple DHB sites.
A background delivering complex projects in the healthcare services sector, together with prior experience of working with DHB Laboratory services, would be well regarded but not essential.
It goes without saying that you'll have excellent communication skills both written and oral and the ability to build relationships and work with people across organisations as well as exceptional stakeholder management skills.
We are committed to delivering the best health outcomes for our total population. We strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds with the necessary capability and who share our values to apply. We would greatly value seeing more applicants from our Māori & Pacific communities.
