Tēnā koutou katoa - we're readying outselves for one of the most important vaccinations programmes in Aotearoa's history: the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine. And right now, we need your help.
Vaccination sites are being set up across Auckland, so it's vital we have the people we need in place - quickly - to effectively help protect our region against Covid-19. It's a real chance to be part of a significant step in our nation's health history...while being of genuine service to friends and whānau across the Auckland region. The below roles will suit Registered Nurses or Paramedics with current registation and practising certificate with NZ health professional bodies.
As a Vaccination Observer, you will play an important part in what happens after people receive their vaccinations. Initially this means keeping a close eye on things in the dedicated recovery room - monitoring people's wellbeing and any reactions to the immunisations. When patients get all clear to leave the vaccination site, you will then help with scheduling of subsequent vaccination appoints. Please click here to view the position description
In the Vaccine Prep role, you will be using your prior experience to ensure smooth delivery of the vaccine to vaccinators in a well-defined and critical process.
In addition to your natural empathy, healthcare background and ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people, you'll come to us with:
- Registration from a recognised NZ health professional body & ability to obtain a current APC
- A commitment to biculturalism
- Ideally an up-to-date CPR certification but we will providing onsite CPR training where needed
- Working rights in NZ
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Sound computer skills
- The knowledge and understanding of medico/legal and ethical responsibilities
The location of work will be confirmed closer to the time but there will almost certainly be an opportunity in your locality, so please put your hand up and we can work through the options.
